Hadith :)

Salam Brothers and Sisters :)

I pray that you are in the best of imaan and health.

Would just like to share a hadith that I shared with the sisters in this week's QC sessions.

Hadith 36:

On the authority of Abu Hurairah (radiAllahu anhu) that the Prophet (SallAllahu `alayhi wa sallam) said :

Whoever removes a worldly grief from a believer, Allah will remove from him one of the griefs of the Day of Resurrection. And whoever alleviates the need of a needy person, Allah will alleviate his needs in this world and the Hereafter. Whoever shields [or hides the misdeeds of] a Muslim, Allah will shield him in this world and the Hereafter. And Allah will aid His Slave so long as he aids his brother. And whoever follows a path to seek knowledge therein, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise.

**No people gather together in one of the Houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it among themselves, except that Sakeenah (Tranquility) descends upon them, and Mercy envelops them, and the angels surround them, and Allah mentions them amongst those who are with Him. And whoever is slowed down by his actions, will not be hastened forward by his lineage. ♥

Subhanallah. A very good friend of mine shared this hadith with me last week and it made me realise how truly blessed we are. Allah's mercy is so vast that even what seems to be the most simple deed could transcend as something bigger in Allah's heart. Angels descend from the heavens to accompany us and ask Allah to forgive us. So we should all savour the moment when we gather to bring our relationships with ourselves and Allah closer.

Best Regards,
Dina.

Months of Islam- Zulhijjah

Assalamualaikum wbt!!! :D

It's the end of the month of October! Alhamdulilah, that signifies that we are more or less had gone through a month of yet another university life. Isn't that coool? Time flies so fast that we don't even know we are just going to celebrate another of our big day! It's dzulhijjah. It's aidiladha and it's qurban and it's hajj!!!! It's a gift from Allah.

Sometimes we are too engross in living our own life without loooking back and ponder on the great stories that happened during this month. Many of us know the story of Prophet Ibrahim and his son Prophet Ismail and many of us know that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) gave his last sermon in this blessed month of dzulhijjah. It's like we are playing the ''Through the green glass door" game (Am I right? :P) We hear the story, but we can't comprehend what's the story is trying to tell us. (right?)

Enough said, now here we go , what we should know about this month:

Meaning of the word Zulhiijjah -The month of "Hajj" (Pilgrimage)

About the month of Zulhijjah: The fifth pillar of lslam "Hajj" is performed in this sacred month.

The first ten days of Zulhijjah are the most virtuous days in this whole month, Hajj is performed amongst these ten days. Ahadeeth related to Zulhijjah - Hadhrat Abu Haraira (RA) reports from the Holy Prophet (SAW):
"Amongst all days there are none better to engage in sole worship of Allah than in the tendays of Zulhijjah, To observe a fast on any of these days is equivalent to fasting throughout the year, to actively engage in prayer and worship throughout any of these nights holds such rewarding values levelling with "Night of Power" (Laylatul-Qad'r)- Tirmizi"

Events of Zulhijjah:
1) The Prophet (SAW) performed the farewell Hajj and gave the historic sermon known as the "Farewell Sermon".
2) Egypt was conquered by the army sent by Hadhart Umar (RA).
3) Uthmaan (RA) was appointed the third Caliph.
4) Also "Bay'ate-Aqabah" took place.

I end this post with our beloved Rasulullah SAW last sermon. Together we ponder upon its meaning. Oh the autumn with red, yellow, orange leaves. Aren't they beautiful? Say Subhanallah!

Turning a new page

Assalamualaikum wbt people!

That's what life is. Old leaves die and there grow new bunches of leaves, green, fresh and lively! Here comes autumn which will soon again will be saying gooodbye to welcome yet a very windy, chilly winter. Subhanallah! In Al Quran Allah mentions lots and lotsa of ayats on how we are asked to ''ponder'' and to ''think'' to loook around ourselves, Allah's creations and simply the awe-inspiring nature around us!

We are merely human being, will always need to be reminded of. Hence, alhamdulillah though BruWick is changing it's leave and turning to a new page of another new committee insha Allah, the love, the respect and most of all the message of Islam would never change.

I am sure we are all loooking ahead for great new experiences that would be engrave in BruWick's history. When life just get busier with uni works and all the social gatherings and stuffs, I am pretty sure, we will also have time to top-up our iman and to learn and gather as much as possible Islamic knowledges. It's a wake up call yes, because we don't want to frequently click on that ''snoooze'' button and delay our ''Muslim'' identity.

Insha Allah further updates and mind juggling and awakening articles on its way and perhaps some new events ahead of us. I am calling for all of us to slowly, together embarking on this journey, that surely will be filled with ''rojak''.

You don't have to be a special person, you don't have to pay. It's all free. You just need to be yourself. Fair enough? I am like you guys tooo, we all have the same purpose in life. The first thing that we have to stuck in our mind is : Islam is not simply a religion. It's a way of life! :D

It's a way of life. It's a way of life....(echoing) :P

Somehow there's a warmth in this chilly wind entering my room. The warmth that will surely ties the BruWick ummah together. Amin yarabb.

JOM!!!! =)
